Dalaw San Jose

In observance of the Year of Joseph, the Diocese of Paranaque launched the Dalaw San Jose Program, aimed at developing and deepening our devotion to the foster-father of the Lord Jesus. Images of St Joseph from three St Joseph parishes were scheduled to visit parish-communities in the diocese. For the Vicariate of San Antonio de Padua, the pilgrim image from the St Joseph (Bamboo Organ) Church in Las Pinas City was set to make the rounds of ten parishes. The visit of the image to MMGCP was scheduled February 25- March 4, 2021.

The Rite of Welcome was held on February 25 at 4 in the afternoon. On hand to receive the image was the parish priest and the parish-community. The Novena to St Joseph followed the Rite of Welcome; after which a Mass was celebrated by the parish priest, Msgr. Melchor David. After the Mass, the community stayed on for the praying of the Chaplet of St Joseph.

The following days had MMGC ecclesial communities sponsor the morning Mass and the Chaplet.

On March 4, the community held its Send Off Rite at 3 PM afterwhich the parish motorcade brought the pilgrim image to the Parish of St Pius of Pietrelcina at Severina Diamond.

PRAYER TO ST JOSEPH

Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.

Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage,
and defend us from every evil.  Amen.

With special thanks to Randy Ocampo and Chris, Annette and Niccollo Cabe for these pictures.
