Fiesta

Renewal of Marriage Vows. Twenty-eight couples in the parish renewed their Marriage Vows last May 11, second day of the Novena-Masses in honor of our patroness, Mary Mother of Good Counsel. The event was held under the auspices of the Commission on the Family. It was a wonderful evening as the community witnessed husbands and wives recommitting themselves in love and service to each other. From 61 to 2 years in married life, one sees a glimpse of heaven in this rite. Reception followed at the Golezeum, Eugenio Park.

MMGC Got Talent. On May 18, 2019, the MMGC Got Talent was presented by the Commission on Youth at the Barangay Gym. The talent show showcased the many talents of the parishioners. Emerging as grand prize winners were the dance group from Manggahan, Hypestreet Crew.

PROCESSION AND MASS. To honor our patroness, the dusk procession led parishioners down the streets of the village. Caracol dancers made the procession festive amidst the praying of the rosary.

The Solemn Mass was celebrated at 7 PM with our parish priest as main presider. On hand to join the community were the reelected City Mayor Edwin Olivarez and the new congresswoman of District II Joy Tambunting with outgoing congressman Gus Tambunting. Also present was Barangay Chairman Christopher Aguilar.

After the Mass was a dinner-dance for the parishioners and guests at the courtyard.

Many thanks to our parish priest, our hermano and hermana mayor Francis and Bebot Balagtas, the six commission coordinators, the eighteen ecclesial community coordinators and their members, the Parish Finance officers, the officers and members of the various ministries and organizations, the youth leaders who spent time doing the banderitas and errands needed, the barangay officials, tanods and staff, the rectory and office staff, Paulette Cui for the beautiful decorations, Steven Nathan for lighting up the fiesta and church arches, the Paranaque City and Pandacan brass bands, Mr and Mrs Robin King for sponsoring the new vestment of our Lady, the MGV Federation of Homeowners’ Association though the abled leadership of Atty Mari Fabian, the San Miguel Family for the carroza flowers of Our Lady, the Caracol dancers, and everyone who shared their time, talent and treasure in making our 40th Anniversary and Fiesta celebration meaningful! A happy Fiesta to all!
